1. Lamps made with cans

Lamps made from cans

The first of the lamps with recyclable materials is very easy to make and very versatile. It all depends on where we need to place it. The base material will be three empty (and clean) soda cans.

Materials

  • Cast.
  • Cable with plug.
  • Spray paint.
  • 3 cans of soda.
  • Universal glue.
  • Lampshade.
  • Focus and bulb holder or socket.

Elaboration

  • Poke a hole in the side of a can. The size of this hole that you are going to make is so that the cable passes loosely.
  • You take the other two cans and make holes below. So that the cable can pass through there.
  • You put the cable in the can that is below. Leaving cable up at the height of the two remaining cans and a little more. You leave the cable and plug that is at the other end so that it comes out of the can that is below.
  • You tape the cable in the opening below so that it is fixed and covers the hole in the process.
  • You put the can up.
  • You prepare plaster. It’s very simple. Equal parts of plaster and water. Then mix.
  • You place plaster through the hole in the top of the can halfway.
  • Let dry and remove the tape.
  • You pass the cable through the middle can and take it out from the top. You glue it to the bottom can.
  • You do the same with the can above.
  • You paint the cans with spray paint.
  • On the last can you glue the bulb holder and place the bulb on it.
  • Place the screen of your liking on top.
  • Place your lamp in the place of your preference. Nobody can believe that you made it only with cans!

2. Lamps with plastic bottles

Lamps with plastic bottles

You can also make beautiful lamps out of plastic bottles. So we recommend that you start collecting all those empty plastic bottles that you have at home without using and put this idea into action. We are going to reuse all that plastic!

Materials

  • 1 knife
  • Glue.
  • Christmas lights.
  • Decorative drawings.
  • Plastic bottles of the size you want.

Elaboration

  • We start by taking a clean, dry bottle.
  • You carefully cut the base.
  • You line the inside of the bottle with the image of your liking. It is better with thin papers so the light passes with greater power.
  • They can also use fabrics and cover the outside of the bottle by gluing it with fabric glue.
  • You introduce the lights that you like the most through the spout of the bottle and fix them with glue.
  • These lamps are beautiful when you make several and place them in a corner or on a dining room.

Materials

  • Balloon.
  • Brush.
  • White glue.
  • Lamp mount.
  • Rustic twine or the rope of your choice.

Elaboration

  • You inflate the balloon the size you want and tie it.
  • Where the knot was, you must mark the lamp mount. In this place you should not put rope.
  • Mix cola with water.
  • Put the string and try to get it soaked well.
  • You take the string and tape it to one place on the balloon.
  • You start to go around with the string until you cover the entire balloon several times.
