Craft 1: the wool mandala

Mandalas are those circles with which to achieve spirituality, where games of shapes and colors are contained that serve as emotional expression and thus, we can represent our feelings.

We are sure that you also usually paint mandalas from time to time. They relax us and time passes in a breath when we focus on this very therapeutic exercise.

This time we are going to give a twist and, with a little skill and imagination, we will do the same, but with wool. It is something spectacular; we explain how to do it.

What I need?

• 4 wooden or plastic rods of between 10 or 20 cm (depending on how big we want to make the mandala).
• Colored yarns, the ones that we like the most and that help us to create a beautiful color effect.

How do i do it?

• We will start by joining the wooden or plastic rods as a cross or star.  We will use the wool itself to hold them in the center.

• Do not worry if it is not very firm since, when we start to pass the wool through each of the rods, the created figure will already offer greater support.
• This craft is as simple as it is relaxing. You only have to see the images below.
• It is just a matter of passing the wool over and under each rod. We can make it easier with just 4 rods or increase the complexity with 5 or 6. 

The result is sensational.

Craft 2: glass jar snowball

We may not be at Christmas, but snowballs are magical objects that we love to turn over and have on a shelf because of how original and relaxing they are.

We are sure that this type of crafts will be to the liking of the little ones, so we invite you to do it with them. It really is easy.

What I need

• A glass jar with a tight lid.
• Artificial snowflakes, glitter of various colors and pieces of polystyrene (the typical white cork).
• Figurines that we like and that we will put in the bottle. They can be children’s toys, like little dolls, trees, keys …
• Strong glue, or even, if we have it, a hot glue gun.
• Water (whatever fits in the glass jar).

How do we do it

• The first thing we will do is take the lid of the jar. This is where we are going to glue the dolls with strong glue or silicone, and that in turn, will be the base of the bottle.
• Glue each doll one by one to the lid and let it take consistency.
• Then, we will fill the jar with the colored glitter, and the artificial snowflakes or the polystyrene.

• Next, we fill the jar with water.
• Finally, we only need to carefully screw the lid of the bottle, where our dolls are attached. Close it hermetically and… Turn it over. You already have your snowball.

Craft 3: cute bookmarks

What I need

• A wool cord or a ribbon of the color that we like the most.
• Plush fabric.
• Sewing thread, to match the terry cloth.

How i do it

• To make this beautiful craft you just need a little skill with the needle and your originality.
• At each end of our wool or ribbon cord we have to add a figure.
• You can make plush butterflies and sew the tips of their wings with an original thread to create their shapes and colors.

• At the end of the other end of the cord you can add, for example, a leaf, or a flower.
• At the same time, do not hesitate to add any original accessories, such as a button or jewelry. Everything you have at home and do not use will give it a very attractive touch.
