Natural Remedies For Recent Scars

When it comes to making recent scars disappear without a trace, many people decide to opt for one of the star ingredients in cosmetics: aloe vera. However, this is not the only natural element that can be used, there are other natural elements that can help us achieve our goal.

When a recent wound has already healed, by keeping the area hydrated with suitable products and taking some care, we can avoid leaving a mark on our skin.

What can prevent good healing?

Remember that when the body suffers an injury, it increases the production of a substance called “collagen”. If the body fails to produce enough of this substance, the wound will take longer to heal or may even require specialized care to do so.

Some of the factors that can prevent the skin from healing properly are:

  • Poor blood circulation If the cells do not have enough oxygen, they cannot work properly in processes such as wound healing. Poor circulation also affects the elasticity and tension of the tissues.
  • Use of certain drugs : (anticoagulants, anti-inflammatories and corticosteroids).
  • Metabolism disorders, such as: diabetes, obesity, cholesterol and hypertension. All of these hinder the body’s ability to produce collagen, which is responsible for “covering” the hole that the wound left in the skin.
  • Smoking Nicotine causes the arteries to narrow and therefore, the blood does not flow properly and the wound does not heal.
  • Nutritional deficiencies.  For the body to have the ability to produce collagen, it needs “raw material”, which is made up of vitamins and minerals. Especially vitamins A and C, and zinc.
  • Chronic stress As there is an alteration in the body, the cells do not carry out the healing process in the proper way when a wound occurs and makes it slower.

What can we apply to eliminate recent scars?

To prevent injuries from leaving scars on our skin, we can mainly use the following 3 products:

  • aloe vera
  • Honey from bees.
  • Rosehip.

Aloe, honey and rosehip oil have compounds that contribute to the health of the skin, not only from the point of view of hydration but also in terms of cell renewal.

Honey can be used to preserve aloe vera gel

The case of aloe vera

Aloe vera is undoubtedly the most popular natural remedy for treating burns, recent scars, and other common issues. And while it is true that it is best to take advantage of it in its natural state, it is possible to find many products with a certain amount of aloe: gels, lotions, creams, etc.

In case you want to use it naturally, we recommend that you cut a stalk, extract the crystal, wash it with a little water and rub it on the wound until all the “slime” is absorbed.

Let the skin absorb the “slime” from the aloe and repeat the procedure several times a day to avoid scarring.
